U.S. Senator Bob Corker will visit Rhea County Wednesday, Aug. 11, at 9 a.m. for a town hall meeting at the Rhea County Welcome Center.
The Rhea Economic and Tourism Council will host the event, and the public is invited, according to Rhea County Three-Star Coordinator Anita Crittenden.
Seating is limited, she said, so those interested will need to R.S.V.P. by calling 775-6171 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Crittenden said staff members from the Republican senator's office contacted her about setting up the town hall.
There is no specific topic for the meeting, and Corker will take questions.
Corker, the former mayor of Chattanooga, was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2006. He serves on the banking, energy and foreign relations committees.
