NASHVILLE, TENN. – U.S. Senator Bob Corker, R-Tenn., made the following comments today marking the dedication of the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial in Washington, D.C. The memorial was opened to the public Monday in advance of the official dedication ceremony to take place on Sunday, August 28.
“The Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial in Washington honors the legacy of a great American whose pursuit of a bold vision forever changed America,” Corker said. “I hope this memorial will inspire all Americans to dedicate themselves to their own bold visions and to serving one another so we can improve our communities and leave behind a better country as Dr. King did.”
